Songs: Vicar In A Tutu

notes / gigs / releases

(original by Morrisey and Marr)

When we decided to release The Lesson Of The Smiths as a single it seemed like a good idea to include a Smiths' song. After A LOT of debate I eventually settled on "Vicar In A Tutu" because a) i LIKE it b) it's one of the Smiths songs that PO-FACED people DON'T like.

I recorded most of it at home, Mr FA Machine added some guitars, and that was us SORTED. I licenced it properly for the CD version of the single, but couldn't be doing with all the extra paperwork confusion for the online version, so replaced it there with Hey Hey 64K.
